Repetitive strain injury - Repetitive strain injury, also called repetitive stress injury or typing injury, is an occupational overuse syndrome affecting muscles, tendons and nerves in the arms and upper back. It occurs when muscles in these areas are kept tense for very long periods of time, due to poor posture and/or repetitive motions.
Strain (injury) - A strain is an injury which occurs to a muscle in which the muscle fibers tear as a result of overstretching. Strains are also known as pulled muscles.
Occupational overuse syndrome - Numerous human body disorders are now classed as occupational overuse syndrome. They include the lowly callus, "housemaid's knee", "tennis elbow", and repetitive strain injury ("RSI").
Nintendonitis - Nintendonitis, known also as gamer's grip, Nintendo thumb, PlayStation thumb and similar names, is a medical condition classified as a form of repetitive strain injury (RSI). The term is a neologism and a portmanteau of Nintendo and tendonitis.
